Erica McCallum

Hello, my name is Erica McCallum (aka Stitch-n-bitch).

I am married to my incredibly supportive husband of 18 years and have two perfect, helpful and supportive kids, Cassandra 16 and Coady 14.

We live in Sutton MA on a private pond, our own perfect oasis.

I graduated from Blackstone Valley Tech where I studied Culinary Arts. After graduation high school I worked in Restaurants.

In 1998 I married my high school sweet heart.

I’ve always had an interest in crafty things.  As a child my mutante (great aunt) taught me how to knit and crochet.  My aunt Eleanor taught me to sew cloths.

I started making Halloween Costumes and holiday gifts for my niece, nephews and daughter.

When one of my husband’s cousins got married in 2001.  I made her a double wedding ring quilt.  I had never quilted before.  I bought a book “Quilt in a  Day” by Eleanor Burns, and thought “I can sew, how ard can this be?”.

I was hooked!

I took every class I could from bags, paper piecing, wall hangings to stack-n-wacks, block of the month.

I joined a quilt guild.

One day my husband came i to my tiny quilting room and saw all the totes full of material and asked me what I was going to do with all of it. So I started selling my stuff on line.  Wow, who would have thought my hobby would make us money and bring joy to so many other people.

After years of quilting in my tiny quilting room, my husband and I turned the room over our three car garage into a wonderful quilting studio.

I now teach classes in my studio, as welll as making quilts for other people to cherish and love, plus design patterns others use to enjoy this fabulous hobby.

My goal for the future is to teach on a larger scale as well as to get my patterns published.
